The article aims to determine the role of transport enterprises as integral participants in the logistics systems of the agricultural sector, based on the analysis of modern approaches to organizing logistics processes involving transport companies, as well as to substantiate directions for improving logistics efficiency. The research establishes that transport enterprises play a key role in ensuring the effective functioning of logistics systems in the agricultural sector. Their influence extends beyond the physical movement of goods to include strategic aspects of logistics planning. This is particularly important given the seasonality, spatial dispersion of agricultural production, and high requirements for product quality preservation. The role of transport enterprises is substantiated not only as carriers but also as integral participants in the agricultural logistics systems capable of influencing the efficiency of the entire production and distribution chain through the implementation of digital technologies, optimization of logistics routes, and development of multimodal transportation. It is shown that logistics plays a crucial role in the agricultural sector, as it ensures uninterrupted and efficient interaction between all stages of the production and distribution chain – from resource supply to the delivery of finished products to the consumer. Its implementation contributes to cost optimization, loss reduction, service quality improvement, and the competitiveness of agricultural producers. Through logistics, agricultural enterprises can promptly respond to market changes, reduce risk impacts, and ensure supply chain stability even under crisis or instability. Thus, logistics is a strategic element in the development of modern agriculture. A conceptual approach is proposed for integrating transport enterprises into the system of strategic management of agricultural logistics, based on modern information technologies. In particular, the potential for digitalizing logistics processes, implementing automated transport management systems, and using analytical platforms to optimize the transportation of agricultural products is considered. This approach aims to increase the efficiency of logistics operations, reduce costs, ensure transparency in interactions among agricultural market participants, and improve logistics chains’ adaptability to market environment changes.
