The role of pricing policy in ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural enterprises on the market of animal products

Abstract

The article deals with the basic provisions concerning the role pricing policies of enterprises for the production of livestock products to ensure the effective and sustainable development of the agricultural sector; it determined that the participants in the production and food chain on the market livestock products are: farms, food processing plants, retail agents and end-users – the population; it found that in the production and food chain, from one side, the price of raw livestock products, does not allow to recoup the costs of agricultural enterprises, from the other side, the price of livestock end products in retail does not allow the population to use available quantity, quality and assortment of livestock products; it proposed in the national interest, from the side government to use effective mechanisms of state regulation, aimed at the development of the agricultural sector and food security of the population.
