The essence and place of management technology in the enterprise management system

The development of information technology and digital tools has enabled companies and organizations to manage their resources more efficiently and effectively. The technologization of management allows the automation of many routine tasks, reduces human influence on processes, and ensures faster decision-making. In this regard, the article generalizes scientific views on the interpretation of the concept of «management technology» and clarifies the content and essence of this term, the article studies scientific views on the place of management technology in the general enterprise management system. Scientific views on «management technology» within the key components are systematized, using a systematic approach and the classification method. Based on the component composition of the concept, the author’s definition of management technology as a structured system of methods, techniques, procedures, and tools used to effectively organize, direct, and control various aspects of management in an organization or process is proposed. According to the proposed definition, it is noted that in this interpretation, the purpose of management technology is to rationalize the management process and fill its stages and functions with tools, methods, and techniques. The interrelation and place of management technologies in the enterprise management system are substantiated and presented. The article emphasizes that the applied methodological approach to enterprise management conditions the introduction of management technologies. The author highlights that an important role belongs to the integrated model and its components regarding functional subsystems and functions. The article proposes to allocate characteristics of management technologies to be evaluated. This will allow us to outline the guidelines for further research to determine how to evaluate enterprise management technologies.
