Abstract

The economic essence of public-private partnership (PPP). The principles, forms and benefits of PPP. The potential of PPP for the development of rural areas was studied. It is concluded that the PPP as an institution combining public and private efforts to solve social important tasks, and investing in public goods in Ukraine is in its first phase of development. The main factors (institutional, political, economic, socio-cultural), hampering the practical use of the potential of PPP for the development of rural territories in Ukraine have been defined. There is an absence of PPP, created on the initiative of the private sector, and public – private partnerships in modern Ukrainian legislation.
