The article examines the role of standardization and certification in shaping the competitiveness of enterprise products amid economic globalization, intensified international competition, and rising consumer expectations for product quality and safety. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the need to identify effective mechanisms to ensure enterprises’ competitive advantage, adapt the national technical regulation system to international requirements, and expand opportunities for domestic producers to enter international markets. In this regard, the study aims to develop theoretical and methodological provisions for product standardization and certification to enhance competitiveness and to substantiate a model of the influence of these mechanisms on an enterprise’s long-term competitive advantage. To achieve this goal, the article examines the evolution of approaches to the study of standardization and certification, ranging from the fundamental concepts of Total Quality Management to modern approaches to implementing international ISO standards. Existing theoretical provisions concerning the relationship between standardization, certification, and product competitiveness are analyzed. The expediency of considering standardization and certification not only as tools for confirming compliance with established requirements but also as comprehensive mechanisms of strategic enterprise development management is substantiated. The study of the relationship between standardization, certification, and product competitiveness identified a synergistic effect that strengthened an enterprise’s market position and fostered long-term competitive advantages. A model of the influence of standardization and certification on product competitiveness is proposed. In contrast to existing approaches, the model is based on the systemic interaction of regulatory, organizational, marketing, and economic factors. The distinctive feature of the model lies in its comprehensive approach to assessing the impact of standardization and certification mechanisms on an enterprise’s strategic performance outcomes. The practical value of the proposed model lies in its application to developing strategies to enhance product competitiveness, improve quality management systems, and ensure the effective functioning of enterprises within the context of integration into the international economic environment.
