Scientific approaches to formation of economic potential of business entities

The article systematizes theoretical approaches to the formation of economic potential allowed to consider it as factors and sources of growth and formation of economic power of the country, as a result of productive forces in the industry and means to meet social needs in general, and as processes of identifying and creating; formation, structuring and construction of indicators of the maximum possible production capacities and optimal criteria of production plans, in particular, for separate subjects of agrarian business. Based on the interpretation of the essence and main approaches to the formation of economic potential of the enterprise and the results of analysis of different approaches to identifying components of economic potential of the enterprise, it is proposed to consider the following components: economic security, image and competitiveness. This approach allows to form the potential of the enterprise in time, to adapt its components in accordance with the requirements of the market environment through the focus on economic security, taking into account the interests of various stakeholders. The processes of forming the economic potential of the subjects are one of the ways of their economic strategy and involve the formation and organization of resource systems. Moreover, the formation of certain competencies should take place in such a way that the results of their interaction are factors of success in obtaining an operational strategic, tactical goal of enterprises. The following scientific approaches should be used: system approach; marketing approaches; functional approaches; reproductive approaches; innovative approaches; regulatory approaches; integrated approaches; integration approaches; dynamic approaches; optimization approaches; administrative approaches; behavioral approaches; situational approaches; structural approaches. It is established that due to the complexity and impossibility of knowing certain parameters and properties of economic potential of economic entities as a system, there is a need to study their individual aspects, which can be characterized by multiple descriptions of systems.
