The article examines the resource aspects of the formation and reproduction of the economic potential of agricultural enterprises as a key factor in ensuring their sustainable development and competitiveness. The essence of economic potential is determined from a systemic perspective, encompassing the interaction among material, financial, labor, natural, and information resources. Attention is focused on identifying the structure of resource provision, identifying internal and external factors affecting its practical use, and developing approaches to optimizing reproduction processes to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of agricultural business. It is substantiated that the effectiveness of potential reproduction largely depends on the balance of the resource structure, the level of innovation support, the institutional environment, and the quality of management decisions. The main trends in the transformation of resource provision in Ukraine’s agricultural sector are analyzed, including the influence of the land market, investment dynamics, state support, and technological innovations. The paper proposes an approach to assessing resource efficiency using integrated indicators that account for an enterprise’s productivity, profitability, and reproducibility. The need to transition from an extensive to a resource-efficient development model is emphasized, which involves cost optimization, greening of production, digital transformation of management, and attracting investments in human capital. The role of resource potential as a fundamental element in the formation of the strategic flexibility of agricultural enterprises capable of adapting to external environmental challenges is revealed. It is concluded that a rational combination of innovative, financial, and organizational mechanisms for resource use provides the basis for the sustainable reproduction of the economic potential of the agricultural business and for increasing its role in the national economy.
