Energy resource logistics is a crucial factor in ensuring the stable functioning of the economy and the country’s energy security. The events of recent years, particularly the military aggression against Ukraine, have significantly impacted all aspects of the country’s life, including the energy distribution system. Understanding the prerequisites for forming and implementing logistics processes during different periods is essential for developing effective strategies for the future of the energy sector. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the conditions and characteristics of energy resource logistics in Ukraine across the pre-war, wartime, and post-war periods. The research focuses on identifying key influencing factors, evaluating the effectiveness of adaptation mechanisms, and defining prospective directions for the development of energy logistics during the country’s recovery. Military actions have led to significant changes in energy logistics, including a sharp decline in freight transport volumes, the rerouting of logistics paths, and increased costs for logistics services. The main challenges have included the destruction of part of the energy infrastructure, changes in energy consumption patterns, and the need for rapid restoration of critical facilities. Post-war reconstruction and modernization of infrastructure will require a comprehensive upgrade using modern technologies. Decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization are expected to become key factors driving the energy sector in the coming years. These trends will directly influence logistics processes in the energy domain, demanding the adoption of new technologies and approaches to energy flow management. Special attention should be given to implementing innovative grid technologies to optimize energy distribution and consumption, as well as to developing green energy and its supporting logistics infrastructure. The evolution of logistics processes in Ukraine’s energy distribution system during the post-war period opens numerous opportunities. These include implementing innovative technologies to enhance supply efficiency and reliability, advancing green energy, strengthening energy security through the diversification of sources and supply routes, and integrating into the European energy system, which offers new opportunities for energy transit and export. A critical aspect will be the development of flexible and adaptive logistics systems that can respond swiftly to market fluctuations and emergencies. This will improve the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system and ensure its long-term efficient operation.
