The article investigates the organizational and economic mechanisms for the strategic management of enterprise innovation potential to ensure their competitiveness and the post-war economic recovery of Ukraine. The current state of innovative activity of Ukrainian enterprises for the period 2020 – 2024 is analyzed, including the number of innovation-active enterprises, innovation expenditures, and the innovation index as a comprehensive indicator of the effectiveness of implemented innovations. A positive trend in innovation activity is identified despite the crisis fluctuations in 2022, indicating the resilience of the innovation sector to external shocks. The regional characteristics of innovation potential development are examined, highlighting the concentration of innovation activity in leading regions (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa) and significant disparities in less active areas. Factors influencing the uneven distribution of innovation activity are analyzed, including the economic structure, infrastructure availability, financial resources, enterprise management decisions, and regional government policies. The main components of the organizational and economic mechanism for managing enterprise innovation development are substantiated: strategic planning of innovation activities, organizational support, economic instruments, information and analytical support, and public-private partnerships. Directions for improving the mechanism are proposed to enhance the effectiveness of innovation activities, create competitive advantages for enterprises, and ensure sustainable economic development in Ukraine. The article also outlines prospects for further research, including the development of models to assess the effectiveness of the organizational and economic management mechanism, analysis of the impact of state policy on regional innovation activity, integration of European experience in innovation management, and the development of practical recommendations for stimulating innovation activity under post-war conditions.
