Online legal regulation of human rights is a requirement of the new information era, and it considers the need to create appropriate legal means – these are laws expressed in normative acts, which allow to understand the mechanism of their legal regulation correctly, to overcome the difficulties of their protection, realization in the offline environment. Changes in values and stereotypes of human behavior online have led to the need to increase the protection of personal data and improve the mechanism of legal regulation. Legal regulation of personal data as an online right of every person concerns their arrangement, organization, and improvement of provisions by creating, changing, supplementing, or canceling legal norms (normative regulation) as law-making bodies carry it out within their competence. The critical aspect of such regulation is an orientation to the norms of European law, which establish general rules and standards for protecting personal data that are understandable and accessible to the organizations that collect and process them and to users. Most importantly, the data storage process is available for inspection by the control and supervision authorities. Gradually, since the regulatory consolidation of the protection of personal data as a component of the right to privacy, it has acquired fundamental importance and received legal regulation as an essential online right of every person at the level of international legislation (conventions, regulations) and national (separate law). However, considering the conditions of the conducted research, specific issues still need to be resolved, such as updating Ukrainian legislation to European norms and standards, spreading knowledge about the need to protect personal data, creating clear rules for online personal data protection for all subjects involved in the relevant process.
