The agro-industrial and food ecosystem sector is in a state of active transformation under the influence of global challenges, such as climate change, growing demand for food, and the need for sustainable use of resources. In this context, venture capital investment is becoming an essential mechanism for supporting innovative startups and developing technologies that contribute to increasing the efficiency of agro-industrial production. The article analyzes modern trends in venture capital investment in the agro-industrial sector, particularly the growth of demand for sustainable development, biotechnology, the expansion of blockchain technologies in supply chains, and the support of digital platforms for agricultural analytics. The main venture capital investment strategies are considered through the prism of corporate venture capital (CVC), investment through accelerators and incubators, and the activities of venture capital funds. New investment planning strategies in the agribusiness are focused on sustainable development and environmental efficiency, circular economy and waste-free production, innovative technologies and digitalization, and adaptability to risks and global crises, which proves the feasibility of CVC as a financing tool that allows large agro-industrial companies to invest in innovative startups and agro-technological solutions that have high development potential and can contribute to achieving the strategic goals of the parent company. Together with state support and regulatory incentives, these tools can form agro-innovation and green technology projects, improve industry investment attraction, and stimulate growth. The results obtained indicate the need to develop innovative financial strategies for agro-industrial enterprises that allow for effective attraction of venture capital and minimize risks, which helps to outline the prospects for the development of venture investment in the agro-industry of Ukraine, increase the efficiency of investment project management and promote the implementation of sustainable innovations in food ecosystems. The study’s practical significance lies in the formation of approaches to improving the mechanism for attracting venture capital to the agro-industrial sector of Ukraine.
