Open Access Policy

The editorial board of the journal «Actual problems of innovation economy and law» supports the principles of free dissemination of knowledge and provides full, immediate, and free access to all published materials.

1. Philosophy and Licensing

All articles are published on the basis of open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This allows anyone to freely read, download, copy, distribute, and adapt the materials, provided that the authorship and the original source of the publication are indicated.

We share the vision of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), according to which free access to research results is the foundation for global justice and the high-quality, sustainable development of scientific progress.

2. Openness and Integration Parameters

The publication meets the openness criteria developed by SPARC, PLOS, and OASPA, as evidenced by the following provisions:

  • Instant Access: All articles are available immediately after publication without any time restrictions (embargo).
  • Usage Rights: Readers receive full rights to reuse and recycle content.
  • Open Metadata: We adhere to the I4OC standards for open citation by transmitting full citation metadata to Crossref.
  • Technological: Access to scientific data and metadata is provided via APIs for automated processing.
  • Storage Reliability: Copies of all materials are automatically deposited in independent third-party repositories to guarantee their long-term preservation.

3. Copyright and Self-Archiving

Unlike traditional models, we reserve full rights to authors without restrictions:

  • Copyright: The copyright of the texts remains with their creators.
  • Self-archiving policy: We encourage authors to deposit any version of the article (submitted, accepted for publication, or final published version) in institutional repositories, specialized archives, or on personal websites.
  • No embargo: Authors may distribute materials immediately, provided that the URL of the publication on the publication’s website is indicated and that proper citation is made.

4. Use of third-party materials

While the authors retain copyright to the text, we emphasize that the copyright to third-party images, graphics, or other objects included in the article may belong to the respective owners. The use of such materials is governed by the licenses of their respective owners.
