The article draws attention to ensuring the processes of forming the personnel potential of professional training of future law enforcement officers in economic security. Personnel training is a critical component of ensuring the processes of forming the personnel potential of any branch of public administration, particularly law enforcement. Categories of subjects of economic security were analyzed, and advantages and disadvantages were identified. Current problems of training specialists in economic security were studied. The functioning of law enforcement in Ukraine in terms of economic security was analyzed, and recommendations were developed regarding reforming this system. Definitions of “law enforcement” and “economic security” are provided. The expressed specificity and special conditions in which law enforcement officers carry out their professional activities in the field of economic security form high requirements for them and necessitate the constant improvement of the professional training of economic security specialists in higher educational institutions that provide such training. Strengthening the state’s economic security is revealed through its primary functions, which require clarification to ensure the state’s main essence- guaranteeing every individual’s safety in various spheres of activity. The work of the subjects of economic security has been analyzed, and the strengthening of economic security should go from a manual to an automated management mode. This can be achieved by constantly monitoring the values of predetermined indicators of the system’s state (which is the state) and automatically reacting to their deviations. For this purpose, an automated system for the use of safety diagrams should be developed (which is the first step towards the specified goal), one of the elements of which is the so-called “safety compass”. Recommendations for building an effective system of economic security subjects have been formulated. The issue of the state of economic security in Ukraine and the forecast and perspective of its protection from external and internal threats has been determined.
