The article examines international experience in public management of agricultural innovation in the context of contemporary global challenges, including the transformation of agricultural development models, increased food risks, climate change, and the growing role of innovation in economic and social stability. It is argued that the development of agriculture in most countries worldwide is not spontaneous but rather the result of targeted public policy that combines strategic planning, institutional support, financial incentives, and mechanisms for coordinating interactions among key actors in the agricultural innovation system. Approaches to public management of innovation in the agricultural sector applied in the European Union, the United States, and some Asian countries are summarized, with an emphasis on the systemic role of the state in shaping a favorable institutional environment, developing advisory services, and supporting scientific research and knowledge transfer. It is shown that effective models of public management of agricultural innovations are based on the principles of long-term orientation, cross-sectoral coordination, inclusiveness, and the combination of economic, environmental, and social development goals. Attention is paid to the analysis of modern scientific approaches to the management of agricultural innovation, in particular, the concepts of agricultural innovation systems and evidence-based agricultural policy, which enable more sound decision-making and more effective state intervention. Key management patterns and constraints related to policy fragmentation, unequal access to innovation, and the need to adapt international experience to national institutional conditions have been identified. It has been proven that the use of global experience in public management of agricultural innovation should be based on a comprehensive, adaptive approach aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the agricultural economy, ensuring sustainable development, and strengthening food security.
