The article examines international experience in ensuring and protecting the social rights of agricultural workers, to identify effective practices adaptable to Ukrainian realities. A comparative analysis of social policy and social protection systems for agricultural workers in France, Poland, and Denmark was conducted. It was found that adequate protection of workers is possible under a comprehensive approach that includes the active participation of the state, trade unions, and employers, as well as state funding for modernization programs, vocational training, and social insurance. The study highlights the specific features of social rights of agricultural workers, including seasonal work, fragmented enterprises, physically demanding working conditions, and low wages, which complicate the implementation of labor rights and social guarantees. For Ukraine, which is in a state of martial law and pursuing European integration, adapting European experience in agricultural policy and social protection is a strategically important task. The development of an effective system of state management of the farm sector, grounded in social responsibility, legal equality, and sustainable development, will improve social security, ensure decent working conditions, and establish an effective social protection model for agricultural workers. The problems highlighted and the proposed ways to improve the social protection system for agrarian workers are of practical importance for Ukraine’s state policy and its harmonization with European standards, which are crucial for post-war recovery and increasing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector.

Keywords: agricultural sector, social rights, social protection, European experience, adaptation of practices, safe working conditions, European Union, adaptation of European experience.
