This article identifies promising financial instruments to support the digital transformation of industrial enterprises in Ukraine. It reviews global experience regarding financial tools for digitalization. The study identifies the key benefits of digitalizing Ukraine’s industrial sector: increased production productivity, cost reduction, enhanced product competitiveness and export potential, optimized resource utilization, greater resilience of industrial enterprises amidst wartime and economic challenges, integration into international production and logistics chains, and the creation of prerequisites for innovation-driven growth and technological modernization based on sustainability principles. The article outlines specific factors determining the choice and complementary application of financial instruments for the digital development of Ukrainian industrial enterprises. These include high capital intensity and production complexity, the high cost of technological upgrades, significant diversity among industrial enterprises, the strong export orientation of Ukrainian industry, extensive damage and destruction caused by the military conflict, and limited internal financial capacity and access to long-term financial resources. The analysis examined the funding sources for capital investments by Ukrainian industrial enterprises. The analysis found that equity-based financing currently serves as the primary instrument for supporting digital processes. The study substantiates key promising instruments for financing the digital transformation of industrial enterprises, categorized by their level of digital maturity. It is established that for the initial level of digital maturity, priority instruments include service models, operating leases, retained earnings, depreciation charges, concessional loan programs (such as the “5-7-9%” scheme), crowdfunding, and regranting; for the intermediate level—financial leases, syndicated loans, loan guarantees, mezzanine capital, risk insurance, and crowd-investing; and for the high level—corporate venture capital, green bonds, smart contracts, international grants, and asset tokenization.
