This article focuses on the legal, conceptual, and management aspects of the economic security of business entities. Attention is drawn to the problematic aspects of their development in the context of active military operations in Ukraine, with an explanation of the nature of the existing economic risks and threats. The expediency of modernizing the conceptual apparatus, which has a significant impact on the implementation of policies to strengthen the economic security of economic entities, is substantiated. The author’s position on understanding the essential content of the concept of “economic security of economic entities” in the context of the target component of the development of economic entities, which protects against economic risks and threats, can respond promptly to the need for adaptation in emergency conditions of operation, with the aim of timely achievement of strategic goals based on the tactical implementation of measures to improve efficiency and competitiveness. Given the current conditions, attention is drawn to the expediency of interpreting the conceptual category of “economic security management mechanism for enterprises” as a comprehensive package of methods and techniques for ensuring the effectiveness of the components of the economic security management cycle, their close interconnection, in the process of implementing planned measures to protect against existing economic risks and threats, in the pursuit of strategic goals for the sustainable development of economic entities, in conditions of legal turbulence and the adaptation of innovative segments capable of increasing the competitiveness and financial performance of activities. The need for constant modernization of measures to strengthen the economic security of economic entities is emphasized, considering existing military challenges and the mandatory introduction of a monitoring segment into the management mechanism.
