Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of small business in the agricultural sector of economy of the region. Great attention was paid to the prospects of deepening partnerships between small businesses and large enterprises, agricultural holdings that dominate in agriculture in many Ukrainian regions. System of economic interests of the agricultural sector, forms and directions of their cooperation were presented. Paradigms of small business development were considered. The scientists’ views regarding to defining the essence of the concept «development» were systematized and summarized. The definition of the agricultural potential of small businesses was formulated.
