This article focuses on analysing Ukrainian enterprises’ financial performance amid the digital economy’s rapid development and ongoing economic crises. Key trends have been identified to help businesses adapt to these challenges. The study examines the dynamics of changes in the number of entrepreneurial entities and their inflation-adjusted production volumes. Periods of economic fluctuations between 2010 and 2023 have been identified. The key crisis, adaptation, and recovery stages have been characterized. Changes in the profitability indicators of enterprises across various NACE sections during each of these periods have been analyzed. Based on this analysis, key groups of NACE sections with the highest and lowest systematic profitability growth have been identified. It has been established that enterprises focused on information and communication technologies, financial services, and specific trade and industry sectors demonstrate the best adaptability in unstable economic conditions. It has been found that industries heavily reliant on physical assets and traditional production cycles have significantly lower resilience to financial shocks. The article emphasizes that NACE sections directly related to or actively utilizing information and communication technologies are the most resilient to crises. These sectors drive the development of adjacent industries through their impact on the digital transformation of business processes. The main strategic advantages of digital sector enterprises in the digital economy and modern crises have been identified. It has been proven that implementing digitalization is a critical condition for ensuring the continuous operation of enterprises. The need for state support of the digitalization processes in the entrepreneurial environment has been emphasized. It has been confirmed that in the modern world, the digitalization of enterprises is not just a competitive advantage but a necessary condition for long-term stable activity in an environment of constant economic instability.
