The article examines the essence of effective conflict management as a key indicator of socially responsible behavior of an enterprise manager in dynamic and crisis conditions of modernity, characterized by unprecedented uncertainty and increased risks. It is emphasized that effective conflict resolution becomes not just a functional duty, but a moral and strategic imperative to ensure psychological comfort, preserve productivity, and personnel stability. To achieve the set goal and comprehensively analyze the problem, a complex of general scientific and special research methods was applied. Methods of analysis and synthesis were employed to generalize the theoretical foundations of communication competence, social responsibility, and conflict management, thereby forming a holistic understanding of their interrelationship. A systemic approach allowed considering conflict management as an integral element of a broader system of human resource management and corporate social responsibility. Methods of deduction and induction were employed to formulate general principles of effective conflict management, based on individual manifestations, and conversely, to detail specific tools and their applications in various management situations. Comparative analysis facilitated the examination of different approaches to defining a manager’s social responsibility and its manifestations in the context of conflict management. The scientific novelty of the study lies in deepening the theoretical and methodological foundations of the concept of a manager’s social responsibility by integrating effective conflict management as a key indicator. An expanded vision of the manager’s role is proposed, where, guided by the principles of social responsibility, they proactively apply communication tools to prevent destructive conflicts and resolve them constructively. It is substantiated that such behavior serves as a strategic resource for ensuring the psychological well-being of personnel, increasing their loyalty, engagement, and organizational stability in the face of external shocks, which is especially relevant for the functioning of Ukrainian enterprises during the war and post-war reconstruction. Further research can focus on developing specific methods for assessing the level of managers’ communication competence, considering aspects of conflict management in uncertain conditions.

Key words: conflict management, social responsibility, manager, communication competence, human resource management, crisis communications, effectiveness.
